A good gig

I went to see Graham Gouldman (of 10cc fame) on his 'Heart Full of Songs' tour tonight, and I'm glad I did. 10cc are much more my wife's thing than mine, and I only went because she wanted to, but honestly -- I enjoyed it enormously. Much more than I expected.

The combination of really good songwriting and performance skill was infectious. I was well into it long before he got to "I'm not in love". The closing rendition of "Dreadlock holiday" was absolutely captivating.

Once again I'm reminded of the power of live music to uplift and inspire.
